The sharing economy, sometimes called the peer economy, has had a significant impact on the expectations and wants of consumers. It continues to grow, particularly among the UnitedStates’ 83 million millennials who have been much covered in themedia. Their influence is reflected in a new socioeconomic system that relies heavily on sharing resources.

  • Reaching candidates is much more difficult.  Response rates to our outreach efforts– calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc.– is substantially lower and in some cases, doesn’t occur at all. Candidates are receiving so many solicitations from recruiters, hiring managers and online recruiting platforms that they’re simply choosing to ignore them. Not uncommon for us to make 3-4 attempts to reach. Sending an old fashioned “snail mail” to their home might become a viable option.
